On Friday we took the one train that would be running to Pisa for the day due to the train strike (we were very thankful for that one train!) and ended up there earlier than we needed to be. And what do you do when you have time to kill in Pisa? That's right, you go and see the leaning tower.
After a serene week sitting by Lake Como and enjoying peaceful hikes through the car-free Cinque Terre, Pisa was a little bit of a shock to our systems with the sudden crowds, vendors, and traffic. It was probably just as well that we begin to readjust to city life, however, in preparation for our next stop: Paris.
